Saturday, September 21, 2019 will be an evening we will all remember forever. . It was the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and Living Out was one of the event’s proud sponsors.

Held at the iconic Greek Theatre, the celebration, named “Hearts of Gold”, highlighted the history of the Center, honoring those who had the vision and courage to begin the work that has changed the lives of literally hundreds of thousands of people in the past half century.

“Hearts of Gold” was a star-studded event from start to finish. The show began with a performance by Sia, ended with a performance by Jenifer Lewis, and had Rufus Wainwright, Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Kathy Griffin, Tig Notaro, Nico Santos, Bruce Vilanch, Ty Herndon, and Melissa Etheridge in between…just to name a few!

For those of us who have been a part of the Center’s history, hearing and seeing the Center’s story played out in such a magnificent way was very moving. We are so proud to be a part of an organization that has so successfully provided hope and healing to literally hundreds of thousands of people over the past 50 years. Thank you to all those who made this celebration possible and, more importantly, thank you to all of those, past and present, who have served our community so well!
