We are so pleased that our friends, John McDonald and Rob Wright, have been honored by the City of Palm Springs, the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, and the LGBT Community Center of the Desert for their philanthropic work on behalf of the city and its LGBTQ community.

John and Rob were the recipients of the 434th star on the Walk of Stars on Friday, November 8th, and Living Out’s own Loren Ostrow was a proud part of the recognition ceremony.

In 2015 John and Rob generously gifted the building located at 1301 N. Palm Canyon to the LGBT Community Center of Desert. The new location became the center for an expanded LGBTQ reach across the desert. The LGBT Center offers programs including HIV testing, behavioral health services, trans services, and several other wellness programs.

John and Rob have a history of donating to LGBT causes around the country and their generosity has been tremendously important to the advancement of the wellness and vibrancy of this community. Living Out is pleased to have this opportunity to acknowledge the honoring of these two LGBTQ community champions and pleased to count John and Rob as our friends.
